Assessment & Diagnosis for ADHD
Maybe you've wondered about this for years. Maybe someone recently suggested it. Either way, you're here because you want real answers — not a five-minute checklist, and not a guess.
I offer comprehensive ADHD assessment/evaluation for adults who want clarity they can actually trust. My goal isn't just to hand you a label — it's to help you understand where you fit on the neurodivergent spectrum that we call ADHD, and to leave you with a clear picture of what to do next.
What the process looks like
A thorough evaluation takes a little time. We'll meet for four sessions over about two to four weeks, so we can build a complete picture before reaching any conclusions.
Getting started. We'll talk through your background — health, family, school and work history, relationships, and what daily life looks like for you right now.
The structured interview. Across two sessions, optionally scheduled together, we'll look closely at how attention, focus, and impulse control have shown up for you, both growing up and today. Looking at past and present together, rather than separately, is what makes the diagnosis accurate. If there's someone in your life who knew you well as a kid, or knows you well now, they're welcome to share their perspective too — this is optional, but it helps.
Your results. In our final session, we'll go over everything we've learned, talk through what the findings mean for your life, and map out next steps together — whether that's counseling support, a referral for a medication conversation, or both.
You'll never be left wondering what's happening or why. I'll explain each step as we go, and you can ask questions any time.
About my pricing
I believe in being upfront about price, not just process. Frankly, it's frustrating that most insurance plans don't cover ADHD evaluations, and that many clinicians charge rates that put this kind of care out of reach — I've built my career around ADHD support and treatment, and I’m committed to keeping my evaluations accessible so cost isn't what stands between you and accessing care.
The full evaluation is $800, which covers all four sessions and your written results. You’ll find the cost with Calm Heart Counseling is meaningfully lower than most comprehensive ADHD evaluations, without cutting corners on the depth of the process — I'd rather you know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before you invest time and energy.
